Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to compare solar quotes, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This statement explains where we stand and how to tell us when we fall short.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. While the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us, we follow them as good practice alongside our duty to make reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML with a single main heading per page, landmark regions and labelled form fields.
  • Text and interface colours checked for contrast against our palette, with visible keyboard focus styles.
  • Full keyboard operation of the quote form, calculator, filters and navigation, with error messages announced to screen readers.
  • Touch targets sized for comfortable use on mobile and layouts that reflow down to 320px without horizontal scrolling.
  • Animations respect the operating system 'reduce motion' setting.
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.

Known limitations

  • Some third-party or embedded content may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We raise issues with those providers.

Testing

This site is reviewed using automated checks and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing. We re-test after significant changes and welcome feedback at any time.
