How we are paid
- Our service is free to you. We never charge consumers a fee and we never take a cut of your installation price.
- Solar installation companies pay us a fee when we introduce a customer to them, and in some cases a further fee if that introduction results in a sale.
- Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to buy or enquire, we may receive a commission from that company at no extra cost to you.
- Where a page or placement is paid for, we label it clearly as advertising or sponsored.
How this affects what you see
- Our comparison tables and product rankings are produced using the published methodology on each page. Companies cannot pay to be ranked higher, to be described more favourably, or to have unfavourable information removed.
- The installers we introduce you to are selected on coverage of your postcode, current capacity and accreditation status — not on the size of the fee they pay.
- Commercial relationships are reviewed regularly, and a page's ranking is never altered because a company began or ended a commercial relationship with us.
- We may not cover every provider or product in the UK market, so our comparisons are not necessarily whole-of-market.
Editorial independence
Comparison content, calculator assumptions and guides are produced independently of the commercial team. Where a figure is an estimate we say so and publish the assumptions behind it. Where information comes from a manufacturer or installer we attribute it.
