Our calculators model system size, generation, savings, export income and payback from the limited information you enter, combined with published regional irradiance data and current energy and installation price assumptions. Real results vary with roof pitch and orientation, shading, occupancy patterns, appliance use, tariff, weather and equipment choice. Figures are rounded and should never be relied on as a forecast of what you will actually save.
Assumptions and sources
- Cost ranges are typical UK installed prices collected from the market and are updated periodically; your quotations may fall outside them.
- Energy unit prices, standing charges and Smart Export Guarantee rates change frequently. We state the rates used on the calculator page.
- Grant, VAT and export scheme rules can change at short notice. Always check the current position on GOV.UK or with your supplier.
- Manufacturer specifications are taken from published datasheets and may be revised without notice.
